When Islam and Communism Kiss
‘The most dangerous political alliance of the twenty-first century’
Dr. Craig Considine – author of “When Marx meets Islam”

This is the third of a three-part newsletter regarding the ongoing violent events in France. In this newsletter, the mushrooming connection between Islamist anti-Semites and Leftist-Communist anti-Semites is discussed, with a consideration of the behind-the-scenes organizations catalyzing these riots.
A secular state with no antibodies
The leaders of the French Revolution tried to destroy anything connected to the ‘Ancien Régime’ – the monarchy and religious system of the Kingdom of France. On June 19, 1790 they abolished the feudal system of the French nobility (Decree on the Abolition of the Nobility); on September 21, 1792 they abolished the French monarchy and declared the French First Republic; and on January 21, 1793 they executed Louis XVI by guillotine.
The Revolutionaries turned France into a zealously secular republic, dismantling the power of the Catholic Church and launching radical campaigns of dechristianization.
- Church lands were confiscated and sold
- Monastic orders were abolished
- Priests and bishops were turned into salaried public employees elected by French citizens
- Clergy were forced to swear a loyalty oath to the state or face dismissal, exile or death
During the radical campaign for dechristianization during the Reign of Terror (September 5, 1793–July 27, 1794), the state tried to completely eliminate the influence of the Roman Catholic Church and Christian practice from French society. Churches were closed, religious art was destroyed, the Gregorian calendar was made illegal and Sunday as a day of rest was abolished. This all was replaced by atheistic or deist belief systems. These policies were somewhat loosened with Napoleon’s Concordat of 1801 and eventually morphed into the slightly less radical laïcité policies of modern France on December 11, 1905.
During the dechristianization campaign, priests were faced with loss of income, imprisonment, military conscription, and death. Approximately 20,000 priests were forced to abdicate. Another 6,000 to 9,000 of them were forced to marry, and many abandoned their pastoral duties altogether. By 1800 AD, approximately 30,000 priests were forced to leave France, and several hundred who did not leave were executed. By Easter 1794, few of France's 40,000 churches remained open. Many were closed, sold, destroyed, or converted to other uses.
The modern term laïcité (i.e., secularism) has been used in France since the end of the 19th century to the present, to denote a moderated form of dechristianization – the freedom of public institutions from the influence of the Catholic Church.
- It has been said that a text without a context is a pretext. France’s destruction of its own originally Catholic Christianity left it spiritually wide open – first to religions of narcissism and humanism (especially communism), and in our day to totalitarian jihadi Islam.
When the colonies came home to roost
France was once the world’s second-largest colonial empire, stretching across 80 territories in the Americas, Africa/Middle East, Asia and Oceania. At the beginning of the 20th century some natives of those countries gradually immigrated to France, becoming significant minority communities which did not integrate into the majority French culture. They did not give up their original cultures and they held onto their Islamic worldview – which included strong beliefs that Islamism is superior to Western Christendom. These minorities were mostly from the Middle East and Africa – including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Libya, Egypt and Greater Lebanon.
These non-assimilated Arabic speakers congregated into primarily Muslim banlieues (municipal suburbs) that have seen repeated waves of rioting over the past decades. Over the last 30 years most of these have become virtually Islamisized ghettos. The police, postal delivery, garbage pickup and fire services, all tend to give the banlieues a wide birth. They are to some extent no-go zones for many French citizens. According to Eurostat crime statistics for 2024, France leads crime statistics in Europe, with 304,900 police-recorded offenses (20%) as compared with Poland (57,300; 7-8%) and Hungary (28,600; 6-7%).
The failed integration of Muslims into larger French society has resulted in Muslim growth being channeled into parallel Islamic societies. This is the unintended result of not-thought-through mass immigration policies – imported populations, limited assimilation, higher rates of street crime and violence, and the rotten underbelly of jihad. The pot has been simmering for decades. When I strolled through the 19th arrondisement and Belleville in Paris in March 2006, I could feel the seething, noxious spirit bubbling just below the surface. The modern riots we are seeing today are the signs of a volcano about to explode.
Hot-houses of ‘leftism-wokeism’
The violent riots which tore through American streets (then associated with the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement (see June 9, 2020; June 19, 2020; July 17, 2020) were for the most part instigated by leftist revolutionaries looking to foment civil war in America. The ‘spontaneous outbreak’ of murderously false charges of genocide against the Jewish state as it fought back against Hamas’ jihadi rape and murder – and the explosion of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism following one day after October 7, 2023 – were another example of violence triggered by revolutionary and jihadi parties aiming to destroy the West in general and Israel in particular. In the same way as Hamas propaganda machines tried to morph terrorists into ‘students,’ ‘journalists,’ ‘medical doctors’ and ‘innocent civilians and children,’ so French leftists, Islamists and political leaders have tried to misclassify the violent rioters as simply ‘economically deprived’ and ‘frustrated students.’
An outstanding example of this ‘leftism-wokeism’ is the French Mayor of Saint-Denis (a northern Parisian suburb) Bally Bagayoko, a member of the far-left La France Insoumise party, or LFI, who described his city as “the capital of resistance and of the convergence of struggles” (“la capitale de la résistance et de la convergence des luttes”) and declared that “violence, at a certain moment, can be legitimate.”
Laurent Nuñez, the Paris Police Chief (and Minister of the Interior) gave his take on these riots: “We have noted numerous calls coming from the ultra-left and the radical far-left movements,” which are exploiting the demonstrations to attack police officers, businesses, and public buildings. “We are not dealing with the high school movement.”
“If these protests are about lack of educational opportunity, why would they burn down the place where people would vote to give you more educational opportunity? All you have to do is look at the graffiti that was put here on the walls during the protests, and you'll see that this didn't have anything to do with education. It had to do with communism” (Chuck Holton, CBN).
French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has accused far-left and ultra-left radical groups of planning an insurrectionary movement which would be triggered by violent weekend riots and nationwide protests over the cost of living.
Benjamin Cauchy, one of the most recognizable faces of the 2018 Yellow Vests protests, told radio station ‘Europe 1’ that the far-left France Unbowed (LFI) was using the Yellow Vests ‘as a Trojan horse’ to push its own agenda. “The Yellow Vests have become a Trojan Horse for the Black Blocs” [a violent ultra-left group which infiltrates protest movements]. French flags were much in evidence in the early September demonstrations but those involved in the violence on Saturday October 18 sprayed anti-capitalist slogans on buildings and chanted ‘Revolution.’ Police say that more and more of those arrested describe themselves as ‘anti-system.’
Green-red terror
On October 18, 2026, as riots cascaded across France, the 19th-century Town Hall of Limoges was burned to the ground. At the same time 700 hooded, “overtrained, armed” far-left militants had infiltrated a leftist march of 5,000 in that city. Limoges Mayor Guillaume Guérin said that these intruders had told elected officials, “We’re going to kill all of you.” Guérin noted: “It was a premeditated arson . . . an attempted murder of the Republic’s elected officials.”
Within a day or two, French elite tactical unit RAID (acronym for ‘Research, Assistance, Intervention, Deterrence’) arrested 34-year-old Hodei Ciarra Docampo, an ultra-left militant with ties to a violent radical ultra-left and eco-activist movement. Docampo was on a ‘Fiche S’ intelligence alert registry, used by security forces to identify suspected Islamist extremists and terrorists, violent political radicals (ultra-left or ultra-right), hooligans, environmental activists, or gang members.
Belgian Interior Minister Bernard Quintin said on X that “what is unfolding in Brussels is no longer mere protest.”
The European Centre for Counterterrorism notes: “Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto stated on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the Defense Procurement Forum in Rome that the riots in Milan and other Italian cities were the result of a hybrid war waged by foreign powers against the West by influencing young people through social media. ‘These events are the result of what I call a hybrid war being waged in our countries using unconventional tools – such as TikTok, other social media platforms, and YouTube – while the West fails to realize this and does not respond.’ Crosetto argued that young Italians were undergoing what he called a form of counter-education outside their families and schools, absorbing political attitudes and values increasingly hostile to democratic institutions. He criticized Western governments for failing to recognize the consequences of this process, although he did not publicly present intelligence establishing Russian responsibility for the riots . . . European investigators have identified activity by established Russia-linked disinformation networks, including Operation Overload and Doppelgänger, which have circulated and amplified material concerning the unrest.”
During October 2026, as student protests and riots erupted across major European cities, European intelligence watchdogs (such as France's VIGINUM and Italy’s AGCOM discovered that Russian hybrid-warfare and information operations agencies Doppelgänger, Operation Overload, Storm-1516, and Matryoshka (as well as Algerian and Iranian sources) were simultaneously weaponizing the violence online. These groups flooded networks like X and TikTok with fabricated materials and migrant-blaming narratives to escalate polarization.
When Red kisses Green
Dr. Craig Michael Considine is an American sociologist, an author and a senior lecturer in sociology at Rice University. In 2026 he published ‘When Marx meets Islam: Navigating Radical Ideologies in Defense of the West.’ Considine suggests that the convergent alliance between Marxism and Islamism is the most dangerous political alliance of the 21st century. This alliance is fueled by both a shared hatred for Enlightenment values and an enmity toward the United States, Israel, and other democracies.
Geert Wilders is a important Dutch politician, who represents views described as right-wing populism, anti-immigration, opposition to Islam, and Euroscepticism. He recently commented on the French riots: “When the left and Islam join forces you get a kind of Civil War. #Marseille #France.”
The prophet Amos once declared: “Surely ADONAI YHVH does nothing unless He reveals his secret plan to his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). An old acquaintance who had a measure of prophetic anointing once share with me that a day would come when communism would temporarily recover from what looked like a mortal injury; that communism would then join in a union with radical Islam, with Islam being the stronger of the two.
- At that time, I assumed that such events would happen slowly, developing in countries like Asia or Russia, were they to occur. The recent speed of developments leads me to look again at the explosion of a blended leftist Islamist anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism in the USA and Europe – funded by such jihadi bases as Qatar, Turkey and Iran.
Commentator Ben Shapiro sums it up: “These people want to destroy the West. Period.”
Far-Right French political leader for the National Rally Party (Rassemblement National) Marine Le Pen states that legitimate social grievances had “once again been taken hostage by the far left.” And NR’s President Jordan Bardella described the October 17 unrest as a “convergence of ultra-left terrorism and delinquent populations from the banlieues.” Experts say these riots are not student protests at all, but are socialist, communist and Islamic-backed and funded uprisings.
All for one, and one for all
Between October 19-20 a Fox News Digital investigation by Asra Q. Nomani identified 101 organizations and movements at work in nine countries – what Nomani calls ‘Chaos Inc.’ – all involved in mobilizing, coordinating, organizing and amplifying European riots in an expanding protest ecosystem this past October. Less than 15% are student or high school organizations. But 85% of the groups are adult-led – Communist groups and parties (the French Communist Party, the New Anticapitalist Party, Révolution Permanente, the Socialist Equality Party, the International Communist League), revolutionary-left socialist groups, Muslim student advocates, pro-Palestinian solidarity organizations (like Urgence Palestine), international propaganda outlets, labor unions and environmental activists.
The network also includes groups that use the ‘Antifa’ label. University of California at Berkeley academic Hatem Bazian, founder of anti-Israel Palestinian organizations including Students for Justice in Palestine and American Muslims for Palestine, shared videos from the protests.
These groups represent a nexus of the ‘red-green alliance,’ merging Islamist organizations (symbolized by the color green), and far-left, communist and socialist groups (symbolized by the color red). Examples include BreakThrough News, CodePink and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, funded and supported by Neville Roy Singham and his Singham network, an American-born tech tycoon who lives in Shanghai and supports the ‘new world order’ of the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Here is the complete list of the 101 organizations.
Jodie Evans, Singham’s wife and co-founder of a far-left group he funded, CodePink, is promoting a planned November 2026 campaign in Washington opposing U.S. military spending. Evans stresses the movement’s opposition to what she calls “the murdering of children, the devastation in Gaza, the war on Iran, the anxiety we feel every day about what’s going to happen to Cuba, looking at what’s happened to Venezuela.”
Mutual Cannibalism
One ironic aspect of this developing symbiosis between Islam and Communism, is that they, like leeches, are both hoping to parasitically feed off and weaken the other. Ultimately, both parties will collapse, giving way to the man of lawlessness (described in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).
- Present riots, disturbances and lawlessness – whether communist, jihadi, anti-Semitic or anti-Zionist – will decrease as the activity of satan increases. Messiah Yeshua’s return is near, and He will raise up His Ezekiel 37 army from within the Jewish people, on that day when Yeshua “will make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves” (Zechariah 12:6).
How shall we then pray?
- Pray for the people of France and their political leaders – for a spiritual return to the God of Jacob and for obedience to God’s Word
- Pray for the body of Messiah in France to reach out with truth, compassion and a servant-heart to the approximately 5 million Muslims resident in that country with Yeshua’s gospel
- Pray for believers in Yeshua everywhere to receive Spirit-breathed revelation about these political and spiritual threats, and that they might walk in obedience to these biblical truths
- Pray for the raising up of Ezekiel’s prophetic Jewish army throughout the earth!
Your prayers and support hold up our arms and are the very practical enablement of God to us in the work He has called us to do.
In Messiah Yeshua,
Avner Boskey
